• President Andrew Jackson was the 7th president of The United States of America
• Born in 1767, President was a popular choice for the seventh American President. He symbolized the ordinary man.
• He received irregular education. Though he did not receive any formal education in his childhood, he became a successful lawyer in Tennessee.
• He planned to acquire slaves and to build a house in close proximity to Nashville.
• Sworn in as the President of the United States in the year 1829.
• President Andrew Jackson also became the first member to the House of Representatives, from Tennessee, to serve the Senate.
• He also served as the major general in the War of 1812 against the British and emerged as a national idol of masses.
• President Andrew Jackson introduced several changes. He attempted to eliminate the Electoral College and democratize central office holding.
• President Andrew Jackson was a hard working, sincere and authoritative leader. He wanted deserving officeholders only.
• This was the time, when America witnesses the emergence of two distinct political parties called the Republicans and the Democrats. President Andrew Jackson belonged to the Democrats.
• He died in 1845.
