• President Martin Van Buren was the 8th president of The United States of America
• Born in 1782, belonging to Dutch descent, born into a family of a New York Farmer, this man epitomizes the journey of a common man to commendable heights.
• President Martin Van Buren was a modest gentleman with immaculate facade and affable character.
• He practiced Law and participated in active politics in Ney York. President Martin Van Buren was also elected to the United States Senate in 1821.
• Later, he got elected by President Andrew Jackson, as the Secretary of State. President Andrew Jackson genuinely believed that he was the right man with no shrewdness.
• He was elected as the Vice President in 1932 and became the President in 1936.
• He had to face a lot of difficulties as in less than 3 months of his tenure, the 1837 slump had begun. Scores of Americans lost their lands, businesses and assets. The financial system started to fail with the crash of a lot of banks in America.
• President Martin Van Buren supported the self-governing reserves organization and opposed the banking system completely.
• He lost the re-election in 1840.

    President Martin Van Buren was good in politics. Not only he studied Law, but he was also active in politics before becoming a president.
